National design show and fashion, DESIGNBLOK 2011 in Prague.

OMS presented top class of ELITE OMS lighting.

In days from 4th to 9th October, our company took part in national design show, interior design and fashion, DESIGNBLOK 2011 in Prague. The exposition took place at chosen showrooms, stores, galleries in Prague, and our exposition was settled in Superstudio Futurama in Prague – Karlín. A section Lighting was presented of course by a new brand Elite OMS, by strong design brands  such as Deltalight, Artemide, Flos, Light Years, Brokis, Luceplan, Lasvit, Foscarini, Preciosa, Lucis, Ateh, and also by a technical lighting producers such as Anolis, Lux Lighting, and many other “green” designers and students. The goal of our presentation was to confirm and show long-lasting OMS strategy in a field of development of new products with an emphasis on design.

Junior designers, journalists, even well-known professional designers were interested in our installation in every way. The author of the installation, Petr Mikošek from Boa Design, had based his work on Elite colours. Public appreciated Elite OMS very positively, and as a fact of that is a final nomination for an award “The best lighting collection”. We took place in one of three best lighting brands, together with Brokis and Preciosa. At last, simple and ridiculous installation Brokis, had created the illusion of hovering balloons, was likewise valuated positively. Our nomination proved that the achievement in National Design Award (NDA) 2011 was not coincidence and the work of our internal and external designers is of high quality. The most remarkable products of our collection were Startrack (Atelier Pelcl) and Rebell (Ján Štofko, OMS) from winning NDA 2011 collection, furthermore Acrux (Anton Zetocha, OMS) and Terzo (Guigiaro Architettura, Italy) from new product collection. The attention was also paid to the minimalist models such as DW Castra, Modul Box Max and recessed Becrux. People, who prefer touch displays, were pleasantly surprised by Modul Eye functionality.

We value our DESIGNBLOK participation in a positive way on the basis of aforementioned facts.

We were successful and:

• persuaded of our qualities;
• proved that there is a need of hard work of many specialists;
• made an impression on potential new customers,
  young designers,  and last but not least professionals;
• fought for position in nomination for the most beautiful lighting collection;
• showed industrial design of high quality can equally
  stand next to the jewels or fashion designs.
